Le sentier de raquettes
The Snowshoe Trail

Le nouveau sentier de raquettes, créé par l’administrateur Malcolm Johnson en collaboration avec la conservatrice, Christina Idziak et ouvert avec l’aide des administrateurs Chick Taylor, Ian Claudi et Diana Claudi, a été inauguré en décembre 2005. Les photos suivantes vous guiderons autour de cette boucle de 4.3 km.

Le sentier est balisé à l’aide de petits panneaux blancs affichant une paire de raquettes, de façon à ce qu’il soit impossible de s’y perdre. Il est possible de prendre un raccourci à quelques endroits si vous êtes fatigué, mais persévérez si vous le pouvez. En prenant des pauses pour admirer les oiseaux, il en prendra près de deux heures pour faire le tour.

The new "Snowshoe Trail" (created by board member Malcolm Johnson, based on a design by Christina Idziak the Arboretum's curator and assembled with assistance from Chick Taylor, Ian Claudi and Diana Claudi) opened in December of 2005. The following photographs will help you find your way around the 4.3km loop.

Tha trail is well marked by small white signs bearing the image of a pair of snowshoes - you can't get lost. There are a couple of opportunities to cut the trail short if you are feeling weary but persevere if you can - with ample stops to admire the birds and the scenery it takes just about two comfortable hours to go round.

	Cherchez les pistes de mammifères, celles-ci sont des pistes de chevreuil mais il y a aussi des renards et des écureuils. Et n’oubliez pas de cherchez les oiseaux. Look out for the signs of wildlife - these are deer tracks but you will also see signs of foxes, squirrels and lots of other mammals - and look out also for the birds.
